This group of young men might be the most talented group of all the positions when it is all said and done. There were multiple athletes who will have their fair share of D2, or higher, options when their time comes. Let’s get right into it. First up…
The first OL I want to highligth is the junior out of Greendale HS. Checking in at 6’3″ 280 lbs, Tanner played like a next level interior offensive lineman. I focused on the OL group when we got to the one on one battles, and Tanner was an early attention grabber. The big man was at his best when he lined up at the guard positions. He has built a strong base that gives him the anchor strength to absorb and stuff bull rushes. His 77″ wingspan allowed him to make initial contact and swallow up DL. The lateral agility was adequate for him to be able to make the subtle side to side adjustments while maintaining his block to stay square on the defense. Greendale has produced multiple next level OL, and Tanner looks like he is next up.

In a group of impressively built offensive linemen, Dylan was the biggest of the bunch. He was measured at 6’6″ 300 lbs. Dylan is an intriguing prospect that showed us strengths for both the OT and OG positions. When lined up out at OT, Dylan impressed me with his footwork. There is plenty of room to grow, but for his size the change of direction to mirror pass rushers was reliable. His long arms also allowed him a cushion for error because his heavy hands could get him an extra half second to recover after initial contact. When he lined up on the inside Love simply overpowered the DL. He set his anchor and latched his big paws onto the defender and controlled them the rest of the rep. I’m very excited to see what he puts on tape his senior season. Breakout type of season potentially in store.
A budding OL that had a strong day is the 6’4″ 240 lbs sophomore. Grabher has been working on filling out his frame, and he is well on his way to putting on that next level size. No question, Grabher’s frame is well built and will be able to support that size. Xzavier was one of the best from the OT position. He was very light on his feet. His hands were just as quick and paired together made him a hard opponent to get around. I was impressed with how well he was able to absorb bull rushers out in space too. Strong day for a rising OL prospect.

Oscar crushed the day. Among the OL he ran the fastest 40 time at 4.97 and the second fastest shuttle time at 4.87. All while being 6’3″ 270 lbs. The junior has a lot of potential in him. It was clear that the coaches saw it too as they were giving him a lot of tips throughout the one on one battles. Oscar looked his best out at OT. There we were able to see how quickly his feet got him deep in his pass protection. We also got to see him change direction quickly and his reactive athleticism was next level. One of the most impressive parts was watching him go from that quick movement to power and stopping DL in their tracks. There is a lot of clay to mold with Oscar. Keep an eye on the underclassman.

Mason put together a solid day. The 6’1″ 260 lbs IOL is an underclassman who found his way to the varsity level last fall. So I was excited to see him in person. On tape we got to see his range and ease to pull. At the Showcase we got to see his pass protection traits. He is a raw prospect, but the underclassman had a solid quick set and was at his best when he looked to make contact quickly instead of waiting and reacting. Once engaged, Mason was able to slide and stay square. As his foot quickness and overall body control continues to develop his pass protection will become more and more versatile. I’m looking forward to getting him in the rankings.
James put on a show from start to finish. The sophomore has elite size at 6’4″ 285 lbs and already possesses the type of strength that can reset the line of scrimmage well into the second level of the defense. He proved last Saturday that he also has the anchor to stand up a bull rusher in his tracks and mirror them as they look to move and counter move.
