Consistent readers of PRZ WI know that we are big fans of the OL out of DC Everest. Oscar has the makings of a high quality IOL. His 6’3″ 285 lbs frame is a massive bulldozer that is able to remove DL from gaps with ease. From his feet to his hands, Oscar is loaded up with power and he understands leverage. Pair those together and you get an athlete that you can count on to clear out his gap. The violent senior OL also has the mobility you look for in a guard. Mobility to get up to level two or pull around to trap a DT. I would have no surprise if you told me that Latendresse was going to end up on an FCS roster. He is going to be a steal for someone. I can’t wait to see who it is for.

This was the toughest choice because we have a lot of talented run blockers here in Wisconsin. In the end I chose to go with the DC Everest senior OL. His skill set in the run game are both strong and versatile. You can ask him to rely more on athleticism to pull and lead across the formation or out in space. He can reach a man the next gap over with a quick burst out of his stance. Oscar can also close quickly on LBs to spring his RB loose into the second level. You can also put Oscar in situations where he needs to fire straight out of his stance, clamp those strong hands onto his man, and reset the line of scrimmage as he walks his guy off the line. The cherry oil top of it all is Oscar is a tone setter with the mean streak needed and the ability to finish blocks on a consistent basis. Run blocking like this perfectly rounds out our Perfect Recruit Build. The senior is also still uncommitted, so college coaches give this kid a look.

Oscar is the type of overwhelming, overpowering mauler you need on the interior at the higher levels on competition. Someone you can trust to play violent, set the tone and get the job done vs the bigger, stronger IDLs. Oscar plays with strong hands that instantly gain control and steer his opponent wherever he wants them. The senior’s lower body flexibility lets him play with leverage which only swings the battle even more unfairly in his favor. Adding Oscar to your recruiting class as we head towards January would be a massive addition. Get on this kid.

Stats: 500+ Yards of Team Offense
One of the best overall players still uncommitted in WI is the OT out of DC Everest. Oscar played like it Friday night. The mammoth OT has a fantastic combination of body control, power, and athleticism. In the run game, Oscar’s powerful base and cement hands allowed him to overpower DL with ease as he walked them off the line of scrimmage. When he got to the second level it was unfair as his initial punch was enough to send some LBs to the ground. The senior does a great job of staying balanced and square while attacking his opponent and that keeps him in a position of power. In pass pro the senior showed a powerful anchor and also that he was light on his feet and could get deep into a pass set to cut off speed rush attempts. His ability to change direction to stop counter moves back inside was also impressive. Oscar is one of the best OL in the Class of 2025.

For my money, the best remaining offensive lineman in WI is D.C. Everest starter

. He has a great frame at 6’3.5″ 285 lbs, packed with strength in his upper body and agility in his lower body. College coaching staffs seam to agree too because the offer list is long for Oscar. He holds offers from St. Thomas, Minot State, Winona State, Northern State, Mankato, Augustana, Southwest Minnesota State, Sioux Falls, and Bemidji State.
I can’t wait to see what Oscar looks like on the field this fall because the tape from last fall is already very impressive. The right tackle is well rounded at the position. He is able to create instant power on contact with heavy hands. Plus his leg drive in the run game creates so much movement in the trenches as he completely removes his DL from the play. The big man shows quick feet as he pulls across the formation or gets deep in a pass set. Latendresse also checks off the reactive athleticism box because of how well he is able to mirror pass rushers. Oscar has strong instincts for the position, and has a bright future ahead of him.

. First off, he has continued to grow. Now standing at 6’3″ 285 lbs, Oscar looks the part of a college OL now more than ever. His continued growth hasn’t affected his play. Instead it has only made him more dominant in the trenches. The big man is light on his feet and is able to pull across the formation to lead his RB. He is able to get out of his stance with a nice burst and get his hands on DL to control and drive them out of the trenches in the run game. Oscar also shows that he can bend to use leverage as he closes in on contact. Those light feet stand out in pass protection as well. Oscar can get deep into his slide against speed rushers and uses his length to control and steer rushers. The cherry on top is that the junior also brings the mentality of a next level OL, finishing with aggression. Don’t sleep on the northern WI OL prospect.

. He is just shy of 6’4″ and is now 285 lbs. Oscar carries it on his frame very well, and his feet underneath that big frame are not hindered. Oscar has become an athletic OL prospect. We see him pull, he is able to get deep in his kick slide during pass protection and can run his man past the QB. Latendresse is also able to play with the lateral movement to stay square on his man while also maintaining leverage. Oscar is so easily able to overpower his opponents and does a great job of finishing with violence. I’m predicting Oscar is one of the big risers this offseason on the recruiting trail.

Coming into the season we already were big fans of the D.C. Everest OT. Watching the recent film has me even more excited for his future. Latendresse has a great frame with long arms. His Week 5 performance highlighted his pass protection traits. Oscar is very light on his feet, able to get deep into his pass set slide against speed rushers. He uses his length to make first contact and steer edge rushers. The hands clamp on and control with strength while the feet move him smoothly. The balance is there to change direction well also. There is a lot here. Size, strength, athleticism, finish.

Oscar crushed the day. Among the OL he ran the fastest 40 time at 4.97 and the second fastest shuttle time at 4.87. All while being 6’3″ 270 lbs. The junior has a lot of potential in him. It was clear that the coaches saw it too as they were giving him a lot of tips throughout the one on one battles. Oscar looked his best out at OT. There we were able to see how quickly his feet got him deep in his pass protection. We also got to see him change direction quickly and his reactive athleticism was next level. One of the most impressive parts was watching him go from that quick movement to power and stopping DL in their tracks. There is a lot of clay to mold with Oscar. Keep an eye on the underclassman.
