This is a fun week to break down! We have monster numbers, and they are coming from a lot of athletes who are new to our radars. These are seniors that are flying under the radar, but need far more attention, and juniors who are establishing themselves as names to know for the next year plus. We also breakdown a couple linemen who have high ceilings, including one who may be an option on either side. Let’s get started!
Stats: 8/10, 101 Yards, 1 TD, 7 Carries, 43 Yards, 2 TDsrnThe Brookfield East senior signal caller has been putting out strong tape on a weekly basis. The 6’1″ 185 lbs QB was in full control of the offense and the game in week 6. He carved up the defense with accurate, quick passes and pushed the ball down the field when given the chance. Cheatham looked poised in the pocket. He stepped up, or slid side to side to easily avoid pressure while keeping his eyes downfield for a target. Only when he felt there was no openings did we see him take off. He can do damage on the ground, but he is a pass first leader on the field. Give the tape a look.

Stats: 8 Receptions, 82 Yards, 1 TDrnLong time readers of Prep Redzone WI will recognize this last name. Nolan is the newest standout WR coming out of Kohler HS. He looks the part at 6’2″ 185 lbs. In Week 6, the Kohler offense looked to get Nolan the ball quickly. They put him on a lot of quick outs, slants, and quick hitches. Routes that let him use his short area agility to open up space, and then use his agility to make DBs miss and his size to overpower defenders for yards after contact. Nolan is an under the radar senior WR that deserves a look. Take a look at the film.
Stats: 370 Passing Yards, 4 TDs, 70 Rushing Yards, 3 TDsrnTyler has taken over the reigns at Hamilton Sussex this fall, and he has produced at an outstanding rate. This week was the best of the season as he took on a vaunted Marquette defense that hasn’t allowed a single point since Week 1 and put up 50 points on them. I know the size is concerning, but Tyler is a football player. He is a leader, a quick processor. He knows where his guys are at all times, and never seems to give up on plays. The consistent rate Hatcher creates big plays is impressive, and not seen very often. He is also very mobile within and outside the pocket. Poise under pressure is off the charts too. Tyler will take a hit square in the chest if it means he can get the ball away to his guy downfield. The kid is a difference maker on Friday nights.
Since de-committing from SDSU, Daniel has become one of the top linemen available in the state of WI. It seems to be the consensus that he is a DL recruit, but his OL play shouldn’t be overlooked. That is where we focus today. First, Daniel looks the part of a high level lineman. He has a 6’5″ 250 lbs frame with a lot of room to fill out and add strength. On the OL, Simon uses that same burst we see off the edge to burst out of his stance, close the gap on the DL, swallow them up with his long arms, and overpower them as he puts them in the dirt. Daniel also has really good lateral agility that puts him in position to win the leverage battle. He is light on his feet, and his body control has developed very nicely over the past year or two. Keep an open mind watching this kid. He can help in multiple ways. Definitely a top talent in the state.

Stats: 305 All Purpose Yards, 4 TDs, 12 TacklesrnOne of the top two way athletes in the Class of 2025 is the Racine Horlick RB/LB Carson Fletcher Carson Fletcher 5’10” | 200 lbs | ATH Racine Horlick | 2025 State WI . I’m very excited to see where Carson is recruited because he stands out with strong traits at both RB and LB. On offense, Carson lines up at FB. There the junior is able to show off vision, power, and short area agility. Fletcher does a good job with his eyes when he gets the ball. He quickly finds lanes, has lateral burst to be able to put himself in position to hit lanes. The powerful back has a low, strong center of gravity. That gives him the ability to run through arm tackles with violence. Add in the long speed to create the big plays and you get a playmaker that can handle a significant workload.

Stats: 24/32, 363 Yards, 4 TDsrnIn their biggest game of the season, so far, Platteville’s Tristan Pink Tristan Pink 6’2″ | 180 lbs | QB Platteville | 2025 State WI stepped up and carved up the defense. This is my first time studying the junior QB, and we picked a good week to start. Pink was clutch from start to finish, helping the team pull off the 1 point victory. Pink has a unique, sidearm type of throwing motion. Pink is able to get some zip behind it when he can step into it. Most importantly, Tristan was pinpoint accurate. He hit his man in stride, and the ball didn’t find itself in position where defenders had a chance at it. Tristan was in the zone Friday night, and I am excited to watch him lead this high scoring offense rest of season.
Trevor Firari
Trevor Firari
Stats: 262 Rushing Yards, 4 TDs, 27 Receiving Yards, 9 Tackles, 1 FFrnThe 5’11” 200 lbs slot/OLB dominated on the ground in Week 6. Whether handoffs from the RB position, or on jet sweeps from the slot. Firari looks like a natural on the ground. He knew his aiming points, was decisive and aggressive attacking the line and burst through openings. Trevor also showed off some solid long speed. The two time state wrestling qualifier has the toughness on the field that you would expect from a seasoned wrestler. He also plays with the leverage, on offense and defense, that wrestlers have a knack for having. Trevor is a versatile athlete to follow over the next year and a half.
We got a nice long look at the pass protection skills of the imposing 6’4″ 280 lbs senior OL Tanner Johnson Tanner Johnson 6’4″ | 280 lbs | OL Greendale | 2024 State WI . First takeaway, Johnson has a sound quick set and solid anchor strength. He can dig in, absorb the bull rush of DL, and shut down their attempts to win with power. Tanner uses his long reach to get that initial contact so he can gain control. The big man slides laterally in short areas well, and we saw him move laterally pretty easily in the run blocking clip. I believe he fits best on the interior at the next level. There he can use that short area agility, anchor strength, and superior length to win consistently.

Gavin Voss
Gavin Voss
Stats: 8 Carries, 166 Yards, 3 TDsrnGavin came in Friday night and turned his minimal touches into a huge day. Voss sure looks the part of a next level athlete standing 6’1″ 205 lbs. Gavin sets the tone with his carries. He runs behind his pads, makes defenders earn their tackles thanks to his contact balance and power. Once he punches his way to the open field the two way athlete is able to pull away with speed that will allow him to find a home at the next level, offense or defense. The 2022 All Conference DE is a powerful presence on offense. He is looking like a small school gem.
Andrew Fassbinder
Andrew Fassbinder
Stats: 9 Receptions, 118 YardsrnSenior WR Andrew Fassbinder has put together a great senior season that needs more attention. Six weeks in and he is sitting in the Top 10 for receptions and receiving yards. Viroqua loves getting the ball to the quick, agile slot WR instantly. Whether short routes or bubble screens. They want to get him the ball and let him make defenders miss out in space. Andrew does a good job using his blocks after the catch. The 5’10” 160 lbs senior has soft hands too.
