Takyon “TK” Darden is a hybrid LB/DB prospect who excels in run-stopping and gap-filling. Last season, he logged one forced fumble and subsequent recovery, as well as 3.0 sacks. Darden is an aggressive middle linebacker who has proven his ability to defend effectively in both man and zone coverage. In pass coverage, he’s able to get his hand between the ball and receiver, can jump routes, and initiate contact to jar the football free before the opposing receiver secures the ball. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he has proven to be a very reliable tackler, finishing last week’s game with a team-high nine tackles and three tackles for loss. He also showed the ability to get to the quarterback, finishing the game with two sacks. Takyon doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has started receiving some college interest.
