. Darden played a key role at inside linebacker in South Warren’s win over Manual. He is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to use his strength to stack/shed blocks with ease then his speed to get to the ball carrier in a hurry. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he has proven to be a very reliable tackler, finishing last week’s game with a team-high nine tackles and three tackles for loss. He also showed the ability to get to the quarterback, finishing the game with two sacks. Takyon doesn’t currently hold any offers but he has started receiving some college interest.

, a defensive back at Russellville High School. Darden impresses me with his well-balanced playstyle and ability to maneuver the pocket to make stops. I also like Darden due to his ability to quickly blast past the offense and get to the gunslinger. Darden also showcased his ability to lock down playmakers from along the edge with his stopping power.

. Takyon lines up at safety where he is very reliable in pass coverage. He does a great job of reading the quarterback and breaking on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. Darden finished this past season with one interception in nine games. He also showed the ability to fill the lane and provide support against the run, finishing the season with 29 tackles and three tackles for loss. Darden doesn’t currently hold any offers but should be a player to keep an eye on over the next three seasons.

I was impressed with Takyon’s zoom in vision he brings to the table at the linebacker spot for his age, as he’s got a solid plethora of crash with his physicality. He also has a fluid amount of range he can cover from the linebacker spot as a prospect that unwinds with his athletic ability from sideline to sideline. On the offensive side of the ball, Takyon shows most of his reps as an H-Back but one that can be deadly when he presses the gas with his burst especially in the open field, as he has some agility that is going to continue to grow for the next several years. He also shows growth with his ball-tracking skills in pass coverage. He certainly looks like a swiss army knife you should see on our 2027 Kentucky rankings as we start looking at those prospects starting in mid-August.
