I wish I got more of a chance to marvel at all of 6’5″ Hunter Holloway. Aside from looking like a lineman, Holloway had one of the most attractive throwing motions and deliveries at camp. Coming over the top, Holloway threw strikes to all corners of the field. Given his height, this over the top delivery, combined with his tendency to hold the ball high, inherently protects him from being stripped sacked.

Holloway was an elite prospect this past weekend. He played at IMG Academy, but this season he will suit up for South Warren back in Kentucky. He has an excellent frame, and showcased elite arm strength and the ability to carve through defenses. In 7v7 reps, he showcased elite vision and worked through his progressions well finding open targets down field.

Big fan of this young man out of Kentucky, Hunter Holloway is a 6’5 stud under center. From the moment he checked in I had a feeling he was going to do some damage and for sure did. Holloway has a cannon and he moves well on the run too. Previously at IMG Academy he has moved back to his home state and will suit up for South Warren this fall.

You may look at this kid as a classic drop back passer but that is not what I saw yesterday. I saw a young man who can throw on the run and can lead a team to a title.

He is someone who shines in the big moments and he plays with a high level of confidence. I can guarantee he will have a big showing at the “RIZE” come time to touch the field!

Holloway certainly passes the eye test at 6’4”, 175 pounds, with a long, athletic frame that gives him plenty of room to continue adding strength as he develops. He shows impressive arm talent, delivering the ball with strong velocity and the ability to push it downfield, while also displaying solid touch and accuracy on intermediate routes. His mechanics are clean for his age, and the ball comes out naturally, which is a strong foundation for future growth at the position.

With plans to attend IMG Academy, Holloway is putting himself in a highly competitive environment that should accelerate his development. As he continues to refine his decision-making and add weight to his frame, his ceiling remains very high. While he may be moving out of state, he’s the type of prospect whose name could easily resurface in a big way over the next four years as he progresses through elite-level training and competition.
