Choctaw standout Tae Bulock Tae Bulock 6'3" | LB Choctaw | 2024 State OK is another example of the hybrid defender but in the opposite way of Tito. Bulock is just as comfortable as a linebacker as he is in the secondary. But when we got a chance to see Bulock in person a handful of times during 2023, Bulock looked more like a linebacker but we can’t overlook his ability to play in the secondary. Bulock has landed on taking the junior college route and he could certainly be a prospect that ends up at a higher level after a year or two. Bulock is going to be a prospect that we keep an eye on moving forward because of his ceiling.

Out of the five prospects on this breakdown, you can make the argument that Choctaw’s Tae Bulock Tae Bulock 6'3" | LB Choctaw | 2024 State OK might end up at a different position at the next level. Technically, Bulock lists himself as a nickel back and there’s certainly some versatility in his game where he can back up and play more in the secondary or more of a traditional outside linebacker. When we saw Bulock and Choctaw back in the spring, he really impressed us with his ability near the line of scrimmage. And that’s whether he was in pass coverage or getting after the quarterback or an opposing running back. you throw on the film from him this season and see the same thing. He has the background of working as a defensive back but the physicality and size of a linebacker. He’s a very intriguing prospect to watch.

2024 defensive standout Tae Bulock Tae Bulock 6'3" | LB Choctaw | 2024 State OK is a prospect that has seen his stock absolutely explode over the last eight months. Bulock has really improved his game since the end of last season and we think that he’s a 2024 prospect that is going to blow up this fall. When we watched the Yellowjackets in the spring, Bulock really shined as an outside linebacker. Bulock definitely has the physical attributes to move inside and become more of a linebacker when it comes to playing at the next level. And because he has the defensive back background, he has the potential to be one of the more athletic linebackers in the state that can absolutely move and make plays.

Choctaw linebacker Tae Bulock Tae Bulock 6'3" | LB Choctaw | 2024 State OK is going to be a very interesting prospect to follow this season with the Yellowjackets. And we find his season interesting for a few reasons. First off, Bulock is going through a couple transitions as he moved to Choctaw this offseason and he’s playing more of a linebacker role as opposed to working in the secondary beforehand. And we think that transition in terms of the positional movement is going to really work out for him. Choctaw was one of the first teams that we watched in person this offseason and Bulock was one of their stars during that evening at team camp. Combining him with a few other elite pass rushers and we think that Choctaw’s defense is not going to miss a beat this season. While the offense has some key pieces to replace, the defense could be pretty special.

Wednesday was our first chance to really see Choctaw 2024 defensive standout Tae Bulock Tae Bulock 6'3" | LB Choctaw | 2024 State OK in person with the pads on. First off, he immediately passed the eye test and looks the part as one of the better athletes in attendance. Then, we saw him make play after play from his outside linebacker position. Coming into the camp, we knew Bulock more as a defensive back but similar to Edwards at Putnam City West, Bulock definitely has the physical attribute to move inside and be more of a linebacker. And because he has the defensive back background, he has the potential to be one of the more athletic linebackers that can absolutely move. he was impressive to watch and is another name who’s stock is only going up this summer.
