Kelly has long been on our radar because of potential and now, he has the experience to convert some of that into success on the recruiting trail. He got better and better last season and he’s a guy who looks great in camp settings. At college camps, he could turn some heads and add to a growing offer list. If he does that, we’ll be monitoring closely as we think he could have a huge senior season.

I was happy to see Soto develop into an All-Conference player this past season, he definitely works hard at his craft and excels as a defensive back who can be physical and come down in the box in run support. Soto is also a hard worker in the weight room and has the right demeanor as a defensive player overall. Soto has good speed and gets to the football well with bad intentions. Soto also can cover well in short spaces and has some good ball skills. Currently, Soto has an offer from Virginia University-Lynchburg and has some interest from other schools.

Kelly’s is a name that has come up several times in conversations with coaches and he’s a guy we expect to have a huge impact when he finally gets on the field for his first varsity experience. He moves well and isn’t afraid to hit. In camps this offseason, he’s flown around and caught the eyes of several observers. While he’s inexperienced, we don’t think he’ll have much of an adjustment to the varsity game.

The very definition of a potential breakout player, Kelly’s numbers were good on junior-varsity, but he was too small to get meaningful minutes on varsity. He’s now transformed his body and will compete for a starting safety job for Providence. He has a high football IQ and can really hit, giving him a chance to be a great varsity player and breakout safety.
