About Pierce
Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Giles is a calm, cool operator who will only get better with age. I thought he did a really good job of making the right reads and playing with good timing. His eyes, feet, and hips played in sync. His traits are still developing, and there is plenty of time for him to add more horsepower on the ball. Still, he did a fine job of pushing the ball vertically and even tapped into some different levels of touch. All around, Giles has the intangible and operative traits desired in a younger prospect, especially as their traits catch up with them.

Read EvaluationConnor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Giles came out of the gate and got the tournament off to a hot start with his performance. He is still a youngster, but he played with great poise and composure. The traits are still developing, so added zip and arm strength on the ball will come naturally, but he didn’t have a problem fitting the ball into tighter windows, which we can credit to his anticipation and ability to finesse the ball around defenders. Just a really steady, cerebral operator, which isn’t always common in QBs his age.
