. He was thrown into the fire as a sophomore, and that early experience has paid off for Speet as an upperclassman. Speet will man one of the tackle spots again this year, but should settle in at guard at the next level. He’s deserving of D2 looks this fall as an interior prospect and has shown the ability to play at that level during his career.

being the first to know. He was another PRZ WV Combine participant that we got to see in person earning OL Top Performer honors which paired with his sophomore film earned him a spot in the 2026 Top 70. Speet was a fearless blocker as a sophomore last season and played with the edge you like seeing in a young lineman. He’s a stout athlete for his age and was an imposing pulling guard who was strong at the point of contact last season. Speet uses his hands well and has the early strength to drive defenders off the ball.
Speet should take a nice step forward as a junior as he grows into his frame further and develops his game with a bright future ahead.

battled hard during the Combine and earned himself a spot in the Top 5 OL Performers group. He backed up what we saw on film heading into the event and the strength and power was confirmed in person. Speet is built very well for a sophomore lineman with a frame to continue adding size to it. He did a nice job of brushing off a couple of tough reps against some very good defensive linemen in attendance and finished the camp strong which earned him recognition from the college coaches who were coaching him up. Speet made a case for himself to rise even higher in the 2026 rankings where he’s already in the Top 75 and just outside the Top 15 for offensive linemen.
The future is bright for this young man who is ahead of the curve from a physical and development standpoint for his age and proved he could compete with some of the best linemen the state has to offer right now.

just missed our OL Top 15 but could see himself there in the summer rankings update with a very good combine performance. We liked what we saw in his sophomore highlight tape and showed he has some strong building blocks to build on over the next two years. The biggest question we have for Speet that we want him to answer at the combine is can he be equally as impressive in 1-on-1 blocking in a pass rush scenario as he was when run blocking last season? Most linemen, especially younger ones, are typically ahead of the game in run block, but Speet can prove he’s capable and talented at both during that portion of the camp. He showed flashes of executing both on film, but this will allow us to see it live and up close in person to really see what he’s able to do.

. The 6’1 250 rising junior was a pleasant surprise when he posted his sophomore film since our winter rankings update, and it placed him inside the Top 75 as the #16 OL in the class. His combination of athleticism and physicality for his age jumped out right away and has a high ceiling as a prospect with continued growth in size. Speet often won at the point of attack and was dominant on film at times for the Cougars last season. He also does a great job of finishing blocks until the whistle where he showed an edge and a nasty streak to his game. Speet has the foot quickness and athleticism to block down to the second level and can block in space when pulling. He showed good things in both run blocking and pass pro but was impressive in the running game. Speet will compete at our combine in early May in Morgantown as part of a deep and talented big-man group who should emerge as one of the top linemen there.
