is an outstanding athlete for Woodland Hills who is already committed to Miami (Ohio). Scoop can do it all on the football field. His ability to make plays as a wide receiver and returner is special. He can score anytime he touches the ball. He also has outstanding coverage skills. Miami is getting a great player after he finishes his last year at Woodland Hills

‘s film is unbelievable. Anytime he touches the ball he can score. He is an explosive athlete who has elite skills. He does a nice job catching the ball in traffic. In one play he caught the ball short between two defenders. Broke two tackles and raced for a long touchdown. He is also dynamic on punt returns with his elite speed to turn it into a big play. Smith is a talented player, and if Woodland Hils is going to make a run for a WPIAL Title, he will need him to step up and make plays.

is one of the best prospects and athletes in the 2026 class. Smith can do it all on the football field and he is a playmaker for Woodland Hills on both sides of the ball. Every time he touches the ball it is an exciting play waiting to happen. Below is what my colleague Avery Hawkins said about from before:
“Scoop has been lighting up defenses ever since the season began. Scoop is performing like the best WR in Western PA, and he’s only a sophomore. The underclassman is a dynamic slot receiver who’s elusive and has the speed to rip the top off the defense. Even though Smith is small in stature, he’s the big dog on the gridiron. Besides his clear dominance from the slot, Scoop is also a very dangerous returner. The ’26 prospect is Cameron Walter ‘s and OC Cam Sadler’s top deep threat. His numbers were impressive on Friday, catching 10/210 yds and 3 TDs. For his efforts, his latest FBS offer came by way of Temple across the state in Philly. Smith is a three-sport star who also holds D1 basketball offers and was clocked at 10.7 in the 100-meter dash. Smith also has football scholarship offers from UNLV, Nebraska, and Toledo”.

- t
- 10 rec, 149 yards, 2 TDs
- this production came in a close loss to a talented Penn-Trafford team.
- all of this and his tape starts off at safety where he forces a fumble, this is why we designate him as an ATH
- Scoop Smith showed off that incredible play-making ability by taking a screen to the house nearly 70+ yards out.
- Scoop then scored on a corner route that he adjusted well too, lining up in the inside slot.
- The majority of the rest of his catches came from being targeted on screens at the LOS.
- Exemplary safety play from the top-50 ATH.

Scoop is one of the top slots in his class from Pennsylvania. The dynamo athlete already has FBS football offers to UNLV, Nebraska, Toledo, and Stony Brook, and Lincoln Memorial for hoops. I love Smith’s catch-and-run ability. He finished week 0 with 5 receptions for 100 receiving yards and a score in the 43-7 defeat from WPIAL rivals Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Scoop is a threat wherever he lines up and has the toughness to break tackles, as well as the type of quickness that embarrasses DBs. If he wasn’t on your radar already, be sure to check the “little big slot” out all throughout 2023.
