burst onto the scene as a sophomore in 2024, and he’s carried that momentum into 2025. His breakout moment came when he jumped a route against Central Catholic, picked it off near the goal line, and took it the distance. That kind of instinct in zone coverage shows just how natural he is on defense. But it’s at wide receiver where McCloud may ultimately be most dangerous. His downfield ball-tracking and body control allow him to consistently win contested catches, while his concentration and elusiveness after the catch make him a nightmare for defenders. One of the premier names in the 2027 class, McCloud has the two-way skill set that screams future star.

is a talented two-way athlete as a wide receiver and defensive back. As a wide receiver, he shows an explosive ability to make plays. His ability to make plays after he catches the ball and gain yards is excellent. He also shows the ability to catch the ball on contested throws at a high level. Then, as a defensive back, he shows good coverage skills. McCloud has a chance to be a dynamic player who should only play better this season. He recently picked up an offer from Toledo. I expect more offers to come his way.
