He played last year as a linebacker and as an edge defender. At both positions, he excelled at running around and making plays. He is a true sideline-to-sideline player. As a linebacker, he shows good instincts as he reads his keys and then makes the proper read from his linebacker position. He then shows a good tackling ability, especially in the open field. Then, as an edge, he is excellent at flying around and making plays. His motor never stops as he is constantly chasing plays all over the field. His closing speed is particularly impressive. Jones is a good athlete and defender with excellent tools. He recently picked up an offer from Youngstown. It is a good start for his recruitment.

He played as an edge player and as an off-ball linebacker last year. As an edge defender, he is excellent at making plays all over the field. He has a motor that never quits. He explodes off the ball. He needs to add strength to his frame, as he can get bullied by offensive tackles. As an off-ball linebacker, he shows good ability to make plays all over the field. I expect Jones to have a bigger impact this year for Woodland Hills.

As an edge defender, he is excellent at flying upfield and making plays. When he explodes off the ball and attacks offenses, he is excellent, but when an offensive tackle locks onto him and drives him off the ball, he seems to struggle. He just needs to get stronger in this area. As an off-ball linebacker, he is excellent. He shows good instincts and knows how to cover running backs out of the backfield. Jones has a ton of potential and should only get better the more he plays football.
