He is especially good as a man-to-man coverage corner. Akins has the athleticism, speed, and hips to guard wide receivers. His ability to lock them up is impressive. Then you add in good ball skills, and you have an elite cornerback. He also shows a good ability to make tackles in the open field. Akins is a complete cornerback in the 2028 class.
