Measuring in at 6’0 180-pounds, Banks is a monster out of the backfield for Legend. Against Regis Jesuit, he had 21 carries for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 6 receptions for 100 yards. Banks has elite athletic ability due to elite speed, acceleration, balance, and change of direction. I rarely give out elite grades, and he has all for athletic ability. Banks uses his very good vision at the line of scrimmage to identify where to go. He’s a mixture of a weaver and power back. Banks slides through the field looking like a prancing deer. He has elite explosive jump cuts. Makes defenders miss, and makes it look effortless. He consistently gets yards after contact by bouncing off of defenders, or running through them. Banks has very good inside and outside running. Very good catching out of the backfield. Plucks the ball and runs. Banks is a complete running back, and would be an instant contributor at the D1 level.

Banks continues to impress, week in and week out. Against a stout Cherry Creek defense, Saturday night was no different. The 6’0 180-pound junior ran for 23 yards on 7 carries with 7 receptions for 72 yards and 1 touchdown. Banks has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction, and balance. He uses his very good vision at the line of scrimmage to identity which hole to attack. If one is covered, he uses dynamic jump cuts allowing him to maneuver into the other one. Banks is a powerful runner. He has good trucking, and uses his powerful legs to drive forward. He is also a very good receiver. He uses his very good catching to pluck the ball. Banks had a crazy 1 handed catch while in motion. . Ryken had a monster game against Castleview, with 13 carries for 180 yards on the ground. His big rushes set Legend up nicely in the redzone for the easy touchdown. Banks used his very good athletic ability (Very good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and balance) to burst through the hole. Banks used his good vision to choose the correct hole. He uses his shifty feet to create dynamic cuts at the line of scrimmage allowing him to change direction on a dime. Ryken is like a bowling ball, running through the defense. He’ll put the shoulder pad down and truck through defenders. It really does take multiple guys to bring him down. One instance he broke away for a 30-yard gain, and his longest rush of the night was 64 yards. Throughout the night, his competitive toughness was on display. He’d give it his all during each play, leaving it all out on the field. Banks is a must know player, and his grit and determination helped lead the path to Legend’s victory.

Banks was able to get MVP for the running backs and was standing out from the beginning of the day. He was smooth during drill work and was very fluent, being on of the top backs. He showed a good burst of speed and carried that into 3 vs 3.
