out of Verdigris. Wells is a 2024 lineman that we just did a Friday Film Review where we came away impressed from what we saw. Wells is a physical player who looks to start in his 3rd year for the Cardinals on the offensive line and be the anchor up front. At camp, Wells competed both on offense and defensive line. He plays with a solid base and uses his hands well. At the point of contact, he likes to be physical which didn’t hurt his overall reps being too aggressive in overextending himself. On defense, he is quick off the ball and when he utilizes his hands in the pass rush, he is hard to beat. Wells looks for his senior year to play on both sides of the ball and at this point, has several offers to play at the next level.

is the only prospect on this week’s feature from the line of scrimmage. The Verdigris product is going to be an interesting prospect to watch this fall as the Cardinals lost a ton of experience and Wells will be one of the few returning starters. When you throw on his tape, the first thought we had is that the Cardinals have something to build with in Wells anchoring the offensive line. His film was primarily him lined up at right tackle. And he is an absolute mauler in the blocking game. His run blocking was outstanding and that’s where the majority of his clips were. He also does a good job of getting out of his stance and pulling when he’s asked to do that. We do want to see more clips of Wells pass blocking and seeing his feet in action against defensive ends coming off the edge. We got a chance to see Wells in person back in January at our camp and he impressed. There’s also some potential with Wells’ size to move around along the line of scrimmage. We are also curious how he would look on defense.
