On an offense full of talent, Fiore can get lost, but he’s the engine that makes the whole thing go. He doesn’t get enough credit for his blocking abilities, and he’s flashed as a down blocker and guy who can get to the second level. Fiore has the body and hands to thrive as a pass-catcher, even if the overall receiving stats are closer to good than great. After seeing him in practice this spring, I expect him to have a huge senior season.

Standing at 6’4″ and over 230 pounds, his size was the first thing that stood out, but his performance solidified his dominance.

When looking at River, the first thing I like is his size. He has upside and time to continue to add weight to a good 6’4 frame. Right now, it looks like River projects to be a vertical passing game threat type of tight end – he is a player who can flex out and be a dependable target for quarterbacks. River shows good hands an ability to run a wide variety of routes with good speed and balance. River picked up his first offer from Appalachian State this spring. If River is able to show some in-line blocking ability this season, more recruiting attention should come his way.

Fiore stands out in a crowd because his body already looks college-ready at a chiseled 240 pounds. His release package is excellent and he has the strength and vertical to box out defenders at the catch point. A multi-sport athlete, Fiore is also a standout on the baseball diamond. Expect him to have a huge year for Clayton as he is the full-time starter in 2024.
