Givens is the modern adaptation of the middle linebacker. A guy who can play in the middle and give traditional toughness against the run, he’s at his best in space, with elite lateral quickness and a knack for the big play. He’s one of the best you’ll find in coverage, and the splash plays are impressive.

Givens was a transfer into Clayton this season, and while it took him a few games to get his feet wet, he quickly adjusted to the speed of the 7A level and was a true enforcer in the playoffs. He gains good depth on his zone drops, and that helped him snag a pick-six for the Comets. He has excellent upside as both a run-stopper and a zone defender.

A transfer from American Leadership Academy, Givens is a high-upside candidate, given his athleticism. He can come downhill and make stops, or drop back in coverage. I’m interested to see how he’s used in 2025 in a new system with Clayton, but he has some time to develop before college.

Imarii Givens is a name to remember in the 2027 class. Standing at 6’0″, 195 pounds, he has a naturally athletic frame with room to add another 20 pounds at the next level without losing his mobility. Givens plays with relentless energy and effort—two key traits for a successful linebacker. He ran well and showed solid footwork throughout individual drills, moving with control and purpose. With his motor, athletic foundation, and developmental upside, Givens projects as a high-ceiling prospect worth tracking closely.
