Tiggs- the 7th ranked DB in Nevada’s 2025 class- is the top unoffered prospect in the class to this point. He’s a versatile cover-corner that’s shown effectiveness as both a nickel and perimeter corner. He’s an instinctive, quick-footed defender in coverage that reacts to the ball with twitchy change of direction and explosive short-area burst. He’s an aggressive perimeter tackler that plays physical in the flat and breaks hard downhill to close space. Tiggs likely fits as a nickel at the next level given his size (5’10″/170) and skillset.

Reginald “RJ” Tiggs Reginald “RJ” Tiggs 5'10" | 170 lbs | DB Desert Pines | 2025 State NV is one of the most underrated defensive backs in Las Vegas. I was unable to locate RJ on social media, but I am confident we will see his recruitment skyrocket throughout 2024. RJ’s awareness and fast change of direction gets displayed quickly reacting to targeted receivers outside of his vicinity. Good power and tackling ability shows easily fighting through blocks and disrupting bubble screens behind the line of scrimmage. RJ’s size, ball skills, instincts, and explosiveness highlights his potential to be a lockdown man defender in college.

Tiggs proved to be a versatile cover-corner for a talented Desert Pines secondary last season. He’s a well-rounded coverage defender that’s instinctive playing zone as the nickel and sticks to WRs in quarters/man coverage on the perimeter. He shows quick, twitchy movement and reactions when mirroring routes in press coverage and the speed to keep pace with WRs on deep routes. Tiggs is a developing, under-the-radar DB that should see significant opportunities to raise his stock this season with the graduation of Desert Pines’ top two corners- Jaylen Allen Jaylen Allen 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Desert Pines | 2024 State NV (UNLV) and DaMari Washington DaMari Washington 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Desert Pines | 2024 State NV (Portland St).
