We last wrote about Woods at this time a year ago after he was coming off of a notable sophomore campaign at Valley. It was a good time to check in with the Tiger wideout to see how his 11th-grade season went during another run to the UNI-Dome. In a crowded and talented receiver room, Woods maximized his opportunities with 15 receptions for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Colleges have taken notice with Woods visiting schools this winter and spring. With graduation losses, his usage should go up in 2026. And by the looks of his junior film, the senior-to-be is ready for the challenge. Woods appears comfortable in the slot, working the middle of the field with advanced feel for beating the defense down the seam or breaking route to the outside. He’s quick in space with a burst, allowing him to make defenders miss. Woods is sneaky fast, as well, able to get behind opponents that overplay the underneath routes. Strength helps him break tackles, and his frame has room to fill out and aid him more in that area or in blocking.

A multi-sport athlete, the leaping ability and agility that aid Woods in basketball are apparent when watching him play receiver. He can beat defenders by running past them or rising up and snatching the ball out of the air. You can see Woods getting the job done in hoops and football on his Hudl page. We witness him take shorter passes and turn them into big gains. Woods looks like a natural at the position, playing with confidence and precision.
