A big, intimidating presence on the edge of the Valley defensive line, Joseph OtaborJosephOtabor

Valley | 2027 IA
has the look of a Division I pass-rusher at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds. Solely off his size and frame, Otabor looks like he belongs at the FCS level, at least.
Good for several big plays per game, Otabor’s bull-rush paired with his length allows him to outwork opposing offensive linemen to get to the ball-carrier. If it’s a run play to his side, Otabor can stretch out his big arm and rangle in the runner to take them to the ground. Explosive off the edge, he has a chance to cultivate a nasty pass-rush if he can become a tad more flexible.
Otabor is new to our data base, a move that’s overdue. On a talented Valley roster that reached the state semifinals once again in 2025, the defensive lineman got overshadowed. In addition, from an evaluation standpoint, there’s not a lot of film to analyze on his Hudl page. Bound shows him accumulating light statistics during the fall, so perhaps there was an injury. The highlights we see are from the playoff games versus Prairie and Dowling. He wins matchups against a few of the better offensive linemen in the state during those clips. Otabor combines athleticism, quickness and strength to beat the opponent. He’s definitely one to watch heading into 2026 and already is being courted by smaller colleges.
