I really like what Michael has put on tape. He seems like a very high-effort, physical football player.
I’m looking for how Michael fares in obvious run situations. Will he get moved when Dexter needs a yard? Or can Michael find a way to anchor himself, and stop the inside run? Of course, I’m also looking for pass rush, but I’m expecting Dexter to be pretty run-heavy today.

seems to be a great fit for Ferris State. Playing for Saline, Michael has been a very consistent, productive player for a few seasons now. Better yet, he’s a two-way player.
I’d expect Michael to settle in as a defensive tackle in college, but he is a great high school guard. At guard, I’m impressed with how quick Michael moves. While pulling, Michael explodes out of his stance and does a phenomenal job at finding someone to lay out. Michael has the size to play guard at Ferris, but I think his skill is a bit better as a defensive tackle.
Speaking of his work at defensive tackle- Michael is as aggressive as they come. In nearly every highlight, Michael works relentlessly to shed his block and make the tackle. Michael consistently explodes out of his stance, delivers a good pop, and has a great motor. In college, I’d like to see improvements with his overall rush. He could be more consistent with both power and finesse moves, but his size combined with the demonstrated effort makes me very optimistic.

Michael is a high-effort and rangy defensive lineman. I really like his explosiveness and first step off the line of scrimmage. A ton of his highlights show him earning a step on the offense, and he has the speed to easily blow by some linemen. Against the run, he works very hard to work through the block into the ballcarrier. He doesn’t over pursuit or rush into the wrong hole either. He also flashes a great tackle radius. I’d love to see Michael get bigger and more explosive if he wants to be an interior D-Lineman in college, and he has a phenomenal foundation right now.

Michael plays both ways, and he could realistically be a great Defensive Tackle or Guard at the next level. Offensively, he’s a very aggressive and strong run blocker. He blocks with extreme tenacity and is a weapon against bigger, less agile defensive tackles. Defensively, he plays with phenomenal energy and motor. I have yet to watch him in person, but I hope the energy and effort seen in the film can be seen on a play-to-play basis. Don’t leave Michael unblocked because he will find a way to the ball carrier. His athleticism is far better than most D-Tackles, which gives Michael a large tackle radius, and he isn’t juked or outrun easily. He needs to work on his anchor and staying put when double teamed. He also needs to work on general block shedding and pass rush. Still, he’s a very good D-Lineman who likely will earn offers this summer.

Michael played a ton of meaningful snaps last season for Saline as a sophomore, and his role is only going to increase in 2023. He has the size and agility to be a menace for offensive lines, and is going to live in the backfield. He’s got a number of good moves, along with a growing tool box he continues to add. He’s a pretty easy choice here, as I think he has a ton of potential that people don’t even realize. I think he will end up as one of the top DL in the state before his career at Saline finishes up.
