About Matthew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My name is Matthew Pritchett. I am 6' 3", 160 lbs. I am a rising Junior (c/o 2028) attending Opelika High School in Opelika, Alabama. My position is Wide Receiver for Opelika High Schools varsity team. I have a 3.3 GPA (AP). I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am mentally strong. I believe anything is possible to achieve if you put in the hard work and discipline to achieve it. I am happy when I can help others, and I am compationate to compete.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), I enjoy volunteering in my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership skills through hard work and dedication. On time is to be late; being early is to be on time. I keep that mentality for everything that I do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I was pulled up to varsity football my freshman year in high school. It was mentioned to me how satisfied the coaches were with my performance, speed, agility, and attitude. I worked hard and I performed as expected, but I never received playing time. I continued to be a team player and stayed humble, knowing if I keep performing my time will come.

What type of college are you looking for?

I believe my best fit would be at the DI, DII, or NAIA level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities.
