What we know: We have him ranked as the #5 tight-end in New England in the class of 2024. We may need to move him to the DE position as that is where he may see more recruitment activity. He is a solid edge defender with high-level physical aggression.

He is ranked as the #5 Tight-end in New England. He attends St John’s Prep (Danver) in Massachusetts.
Playing Tight-end in a premier New England program is no easy task. McSweeney has upheld the task with great production. He is a bit under the Tight-end protocal that many Div 1-2 schools like to see, but his athleticism combined with his consistent effort, aggressiveness and physical play will have many college coaches watching his development and growth potential moving forward. He has a very good burst out of his stance and he appears experienced in how to get separation from the linebackers who will try and cover him. His hands appear solid and reliable. He does this while executing crisp routes and getting to the open spot. The third clip in shows his eye and hand coordination with his ability to make difficult catches.
