Sullivan consistently stood out as a difference-maker on both sides of the ball. His combination of football IQ, body control, and competitive toughness made him a focal point for every opposing defensive and offensive coordinator. Sullivan’s route-running was elite for his frame. He ran sharp, crisp routes with excellent footwork at the top of routes, creating instant separation even against high-level coverage. Whether running slants, outs, or deep digs, he showed the ability to throttle down and accelerate out of breaks without telegraphing. His release off the line was quick and decisive — a true “get-off” that allowed him to beat press coverage immediately and get into his route stem cleanly. Once the ball was in the air, Sullivan attacked it with aggression, high-pointing throws and showing strong hands to secure catches in traffic. He was versatile across multiple offensive packages: slot alignments, outside receiver sets, and even some motion work. Coaches saw him win in every phase — short, intermediate, and deep. In 7v7 settings where timing and chemistry are critical, Sullivan’s consistency gave his quarterbacks an extremely trustworthy target.
On the defensive side, Sullivan was a true ballhawk. His instincts in zone coverage and man-to-man were outstanding. He mirrored receivers through their entire route, rarely losing leverage or getting caught flat-footed. What separated him was his closing speed and ability to cover ground quickly — he routinely closed large windows on underneath throws and deep balls alike. His range allowed him to play multiple defensive back spots (outside corner, nickel, and even some safety help) without sacrificing effectiveness. He is not a burner in the traditional sense, but his short-area quickness and acceleration make him extremely difficult to cover in space. His football character and competitiveness were evident — he played every snap with intensity and was vocal in helping teammates with adjustments. Sullivan left Rock Hill with momentum. Keep eyes on him this spring and summer — he is ready to make noise at the next level.
