Love is a Howard football commit. Love is a true sideline-to-sideline backer, able to play both the middle and outside positions. He has nice range and impressive closing speed. Love is athletic enough to cover downfield and makes plays in space. He’s just an all-around force that you see on film making big hits, tackles for a loss, and breaking up passes.

6’3 and 220 lbs. Mason Love Mason Love 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Trinity Episcopal | 2026 State VA can play both linebacker and defensive end at the next level, he performs very well at both positions for Trinity Episcopal. Strong and athletic enough to play many spots on the Titans defense, Love is everywhere. Notching 72 tackles as a sophomore, his coverage skills are very impressive, I think that is why his ranking is so high. It is one thing to play the run well as a linebacker, but the way he defends the pass and gets out in coverage are big reasons why he is the 31st ranked player in the state.

Mason Love Mason Love 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Trinity Episcopal | 2026 State VA is a speedy, physical presence at middle linebacker for the Trinity Episcopal defense. While they’re is not a ton of tape of his work so far, the amount I witnessed made me a believer. The young man is the real deal and will put fear into each tackle he imposes for the Titans defense. His footwork and ball skills are both exceptional and you can see by his off-season work that he has the potential to reach all-region in his sophomore campaign. Standing at 6’2 with his speed, by the time his high school career is complete do not be surprised if his potential reaches the FBS level.
