is a very sound linebacker and very well rounded. Trey is listed as a Linebacker but can also play Safety and Nickel. Trey has tremendous change of direction and has very elite speed to close in on his opponents. This kid is a player I would dream of having on my team because he can do it all and gives it his all, you can tell he has so much love for the game and there is no doubt in my mind he is isn’t a leader for his team. I definitely love his game and his sense of awareness to make a play and presence felt on every down. Trey is an amazing talent and somebody that will climb the rankings. STAY TUNED!

Cherry’s early offer list includes ODU, Temple, East Carolina, and Charlotte. Former 8-year NFL vet Wali Rainer described Cherry as a player with “high football IQ, elite athleticism, instincts, and intelligence.” He is truly a heat-seeking missile on the field. Cherry isn’t the biggest (currently listed at 6-0, 195 pounds), but when he hits you, it’s with maximum force. The closing speed is exceptional and he is a strong open-field tackler. Cherry runs through ball carriers with aggression. I’d also like to add that he’s a special teams demon on kickoffs. A couple of his highlights show him coming down on kickoffs and laying the boom on a kick returner. I don’t know his official stats, but my guess is is that he has a lot of tackles on his 2025 season resume.

One of the most versatile defenders of our top-ranked players, Trey has offers from Temple, East Carolina, Old Dominion, UNC Charlotte, and Arkansas State. He primarily plays linebacker, but he can play Safety, Nickel, and EDGE as well. Given his size, Saftey or Nickel is likely where he will end up in college and will be used around the line of scrimmage in schemes. He has very good processing, is not caught off guard by fakes, and understands his assignment in the schemes. Very good run defender, quickly filling his gap and tackling through ball carriers. He has the athleticism to cover receivers in the slot and the range to play safety. I really like what I see in Trey’s tape.

. It would not surprise me if he plays safety in college really like the way he covers skill guys in space. Do not get me wrong he is a darn good linebacker, but it is rare to see kids cover so well for his age at his position.
