Stone is a physical, vertical-threat tight end with blocking consistency and big-play potential. He’s a high-ceiling tight end who brings both a pass-catching mismatch and a committed, technically sound blocker. Stone’s vertical ability and blocking motor make him a fit for pro-style or spread offenses that use tight ends in multiple alignments. With continued improvement as a route-runner and blocker, he could become a player who can stretch the field as a pass-catcher. I’d like to see if Stone will show more elusiveness after the catch and whether to not he’ll be showcased running different types of route this upcoming season.

Only watch listed in our last edition, Trinity Episcopal Hugh Stone Hugh Stone Hugh Stone 6'3" | 240 lbs | TE/K Trinity Episcopal | 2026 State VA is coming along very well. 6’4 and 235 lbs. Stone is getting attention from many FCS level schools. His skill set and route running are both excellent, he is poised to rise up our new ranking board when it comes out in early 2025.

I recently featured Hugh in my breakdown of the Class of 2027 Tight End Rankings that you can read here. He is a promising Tight End for Trinity Episcopal, but his punting deserves recognition as well. He has good distance on his punt and gets good bounce. Also creates good hangtime to force the fair catch.

Hugh is listed as a TE and Punter for Trinity Episcopal, but this past season’s film shows his Punting highlights. Nonetheless, he has good height and size for the TE position, and I would not be shocked to see him playing at TE over the next two seasons. But you do not want to miss his punting highlights. His freshman season film does show him at TE, but with no film reps from this past season, we have placed Hugh on the Watch List.
