He was hard to cover, faster than everyone, and scored TD after TD. He’s competitve and you like to see a guy like that wanting to be out there with his boys. Teams frequently bracket him in coverage which explains his production, but the top recruit and consensus No. 1 overall player in Indiana is hard to beat when he gets open and has the ball in his hands. He is an outstanding pass catcher, and has a 6-foot-5 frame college coaches covet.

Sales has great leaping ability, he can win one-on-one battles against corners with ease, and has great top-end speed. Throughout the season he also aligned as a safety where he flashed quickness to break on the ball and ragdoll receivers to the ground as a tackler.

The breakout player of the year in Indiana has to be Monshun Sales.
It’s hard not to pick a top 10 recruit in the country. He’s got it all. The size, the speed, the hands, everything…. And he’s a junior.
I’ve watched his progression, and he’s exploded over the past year and a half or so. I remember the raw talent and him at camps looking to make a name for himself. He worked when nobody was watching

It doesn’t take long to figure out why Sales has climbed up boards in the state and nationally. The 6’5″ frame is incredible. He has great ball skills, hand-eye coordination, and vertical that allow him to win every rep. His 34 grabs for 568 yards and 7 TDs aren’t the most eye-popping, but anyone who watches can see the potential. The current 3-star recruit has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arizona State, LSU, Colorado, and more. Where he ends up is still wide open.

Sales is an easy prospect to get pretty excited over and what he just showcased as a sophomore should put him on national radars. While his 34 catches for 568 yards, and 7 TDs aren’t the largest numbers, it’s how he looked doing it and the potential he’s got. Elite speed, a Redzone nightmare, and twitchy all in a 6’5″ package that bends and is as flexible as they come.
