About Malachi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a physical, downhill linebacker with a high motor and sharp instincts. I diagnose plays quickly, attack the run with aggression, and drop into coverage with confidence. I lead by example, communicate effectively on the field, and pride myself on being relentless every snap.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a focused, hardworking mentality every day. I'm coachable, competitive, and always pushing to improve. I lead with energy, stay locked in under pressure, and never back down from a challenge—on or off the field.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through football and school, I’ve developed leadership, discipline, and a strong sense of teamwork. I lead by example and stay coachable, always putting the team first. Off the field, I mentor youth football players and help organize local peace walks, which has taught me the importance of giving back and being a positive influence in my community.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want a strong football program with a family-like culture, great coaching, and a commitment to player development. Academically, I’m focused on a school that supports my goals in the classroom and prepares me for success after football.

This young prospect is a quick and athletic defensive lineman, he’s one of the few that I’ve seen get a defensive touchdown. Barr has been tearing it up in 1on1s at his camps this offseason, Maryland and West Virginia to name a few. Barr showed glimpses of dominance at the JV level, expect to hear his name during the varsity games at Good Counsel this season.
