Hayden Lindquist | Prep Redzone Scout
Heinen enters his senior season as one of the physically biggest and highest upside defensive linemen in his class, and looks to be gearing up for a massive senior campaign. He’s attracted a lot of D2/FCS interest so far, and it’s easy to see why. On his junior tape, Heinen shows off a lot of raw athleticism that could easily make him a scholarship athlete. With tape as both a DT and as a true NT, Heinen proves to be a dangerous run stopper who can swallow up both double teams and entire gaps. He does a great job of splitting that center/guard combo block, and if left 1v1, Heinen shows off a filthy swim move that he can deploy at a moment’s notice. With his physical gifts, I’m curious to see where he ends up after this fall if he can string together a big senior season.

There’s a reason the Andover Huskies transitioned to Minnesota 6A Big School ball, one of which was QB Joe Mapson, but another huge reason was the Huskies size in the trenches. Enter

, one of the biggest and baddest Huskies on Andover’s 2025 roster, coming in at somewhere around 6’5, 260. Heinen, acting mainly as a 3T or true NG head-up on the OC, displaying good pad level and burst in his get-off at a massive 6’5, 260+. Heinen shows the closing speed to really impact an opponent’s passing or run game with disruptive, drive-halting defensive stops in the backfield, and he blocked a kick against East Ridge to display some juice and playmaking ability on special teams. As an interior DT, Heinen can drop his hips and use those big hands and his strong chest to stab and lock out his arms to hold a gap through double team attempts, wherein he can split the combo, shed, and make the 1v1 tackle in space and in the backfield. The Huskies standout is able to hold strong 6A OL at bay when he extends his arms and gets good hand positioning off the snap as well as use his own strength to rag doll ball carriers to the turf once he gets his meaty paws or crushing shoulder pads on a RB or QB. Hope to see this kid at an offseason stop this spring and certainly this summer, Heinen could be one of the hottest names in Minnesota’s developing offseason trail soon.
