Top Prospects: Andover Huskies

The Andover Huskies have made a seamless transition to AAAAAA football and have found instant success in their new class. The program is renowned for producing elite talent, with a number of notable alumni finding their way to the Division 1 level, and even more populating D2 and D3 rosters across the country. I've found a handful of prospects from Andover who I expect to pop off in 2027, so keep an eye out for these top prospects!    [player_tooltip player_id='1655330' first='Jackson' last='Kirchner'] is a well-known commodity in the class of 2027, and is the predicted QB1 for Huskies during the 2026 season. Touting a solid frame and boasting a bunch of junior tape, I'm excited to see what he can produce given a full sample size on varsity this fall. On his tape from the previous season, Kirchner showcased a handful of admirable qualities. He's calm in a collapsing pocket and can bounce around until he can find an open receiver. He does a great job of getting the ball out before he can get sacked, and is able to make tough cross-body throws while on the run in desperate situations. His deep ball placement is also eye-catching. Kirchner throws a fantastic back-shoulder fade, laying the rock right into his receiver's breadbasket. I'm eager to see how this tape translates to the varsity level during his senior season.     Heinen enters his senior season as one of the physically biggest and highest upside defensive linemen in his class, and looks to be gearing up for a massive senior campaign. He's attracted a lot of D2/FCS interest so far, and it's easy to see why. On his junior tape, Heinen shows off a lot of raw athleticism that could easily make him a scholarship athlete. With tape as both a DT and as a true NT, Heinen proves to be a dangerous run stopper who can swallow up both double teams and entire gaps. He does a great job of splitting that center/guard combo block, and if left 1v1, Heinen shows off a filthy swim move that he can deploy at a moment's notice. With his physical gifts, I'm curious to see where he ends up after this fall if he can string together a big senior season.     A WL DB with the potential to have a major breakout this fall, Garcia is an athlete with real track speed who put up both solid numbers and tape last season, amassing 37 total tackles and a blocked kick, which he returned for a TD. Most of his junior tape was at safety, where he provided as both a run-stopper and coverage DB. One thing that caught my eye in his film was his breaking speed. Garcia is able to play a little bit of a softer zone coverage because once he reads the QB's eyes and baits a pass, he's able to close toward the wideout rapidly and either force a big-time PBU or lay the wood for a physical tackle. While stopping the run, despite being on the 3rd level, he can be seen making big tackles at the first or second levels. His physicality is better than most DBs, and he's shown real utility on special teams across the board, giving fantastic effort wherever he plays. Keep an eye out for this underrated ATH.     Gillespie is an athlete who saw some time on varsity last season as both a wideout and a kick returner, and he's someone whose role I could see growing in his senior year. On his tape, Gillespie proves to be an athletic slot receiver who is capable of making possession catches for much-needed short gains and stretching the field deep with some elusive route running. He can really extend to get overthrown passes, and does a nice job of high-pointing the rock, especially in the end zone. He is a legitimate YAC threat as well, which makes him perfect for quick-hitting bubble screens that he can turn into major plays. Keep an eye out for this 2027 prospect next fall.     Verheyen is a rising MLB who tallied 34 total tackles during his junior year, and put forth some really encouraging film in the process, as well as some crazy weight room numbers. On his tape, Verheyen proves to be a hard-nosed and physical linebacker who can lay the wood across the middle. He's an excellent run stopper, always playing downhill and finding run lanes before shooting through them like a rocket and blowing up the play. I love the way he fills and scrapes to the alley, systemically erasing run lanes without overpursuing. He fights hard for the ball and never gives up on a play. I'm excited to see what his senior season brings.     Fields was one of the most underrated wideouts in AAAAAA last season as he brought down 34 receptions for 395 yards on offense. He also tallied 7 total tackles, 2 TFLs, 3 PBUs, and a handful of big-time kick returns. There were a number of moments on his tape where I was speechless. He opens up his junior film with one of the more impressive plays that I've seen from last season. Fields showcases excellent concentration when reeling in tightly contested passes and has surprisingly elusive route running, which allows him to get open by a considerable margin. He's a consistent possession catch receiver who reels in passes regardless of how tight the coverage is, and will take a big hit if it means moving the chains for the offense. I would be shocked if he doesn't draw some serious college looks throughout his senior season.     An unsung hero from the trenches, Kosek is a gritty and somewhat undersized LT who makes up for it with an intense ferocity and athleticism. One of his greatest assets is easily his foot speed. Kosek takes dozens of short choppy steps that allow him to gain the edge on hordes of defensive linemen. He gets a great jump off the ball on double teams and frequently reaches the second level. I love how he gets under bigger defensive linemen's pads and can use that leverage to toss them around. His athleticism should easily allow him to transition to an interior offensive line position in college as well, further highlighting his versatility as a prospect.
