About Lou
Expert Analysis

Lou has a ton of positive momentum behind him, and putting together performances like he did at WSQ Media Day is exactly why. I absolutely loved what I saw from him in terms of his technique and pure arm talent. I have been impressed with Gresset the last few times I got to see him work, but this was a polished as I have seen him. Extremely well rounded QB with a ton of upside, and a very high floor. You absolutely know what you’re going to get from Gresset, and that is high level play and consistency.

Lou has continuously worked his tail off, and his time is coming now. He’s big and stands tall in the pocket and has the arm strength to hit tight windows. In the reps he did get in game, His throwing motion and footwork is consistent, allowing him to be pinpoint accurate. With great size, arm strength and awareness, he has all of the tools to be successful. The next few months of work will be crucial to his success as the guy this fall.

I’m excited for Lou’s Junior season. He had his ups and downs on Varsity this season, but his high points truly show his upside. Against great teams like Moeller, Lou was able to read the field, evade the pocket when necessary, and deliver accurate balls. It’s clear to me that Lou has improved his mechanics, accuracy, and overall consistency in the past year.
Colleges tend to take notice of 6’3″ QBs with a big arm. Lou has that kind of potential, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Lou improves during the new year.

Lou’s a developmental QB with a ton of upside.
First off, you gotta love the size. Lou is tall and fits the bill for most colleges. He won’t go un-offered because he’s too small.
Second, Lou cares about his game (for lack of a better term). Every great throw, he’s feeling great about it. Lou makes a bad throw, he sometimes gets down on himself. Point is, he’s a competitive kid, and really cares about his game. Channel that, and Lou is going to be a phenomenal QB for Muskegon.

I’ve written about Lou a few times. After watching a couple of times in person, I have a good idea of Lou’s current skill.
He’s competitive, tall, and has a good arm. He does a good job driving the ball downfield, and he’s able to hit receivers in stride 20+ yards out. Still work to be done mechanically, and he needs more on-field reps. Though with Lou’s competitiveness, he has an opportunity to skyrocket the rankings and one day be Muskegon’s starting Quarterback.

. He’s another one that passes the eye test, and I really liked what he was able to do not only in the 1 on 1 drills, but the individual QB drills as well. He was pretty accurate and was able to drive the ball into some tight spots. He has a strong base and moves his feet well. He seemed competitive and was taking coaching well. High hopes for Gressett and his development!

I do not expect Lou to gain significant Varsity time until 2026, but still, he’s working his tail off. I know that Lou is a very competitive person, and he’s trying very, very hard to improve upon every aspect of being a Quarterback.
Still very early for Lou. Raw in several areas, but still pretty darn ahead of the curve. Once I expand the 2028 rankings to 100+ ranked, Lou will absolutely be included.

I recently watched Lou at a Westside QBs training. Honestly, he was much better than expected. Usually, Class of 2028 QBs are still quite raw (struggle mightily with mechanics, all-around IQ, and consistency).
Lou is ahead of the curve in all areas. For one, he’s a true 6’2″ and is built way better than most 2028s. In addition, he has solid mechanics + arm strength and is able to push the ball downfield with relative ease. He did miss some throws, but that is expected from such a young prospect.
There are a lot of similar players on the current Watch List. Still plenty of room to grow, but he’s well on his way. Lou is a player who I am very confident will develop into a great Varsity football player, and I especially think this after an in-person eval.

Lou is another guy I caught a lot of glimpses of, but didn’t watch as much as I wanted to. For one, Lou looks to be telling the truth about his H/W. I’ve seen a lot of prospects, specifically QBs, lie about H/W- Lou is not one of those guys.
More importantly, Lou is a good passer. He has the arm strength to push the ball downfield. Though, Lou still has some stuff to work on regarding mechanics. As long as Lou keeps on improving, he’ll be ok. Just put your head down, commit to learning, commit to working, and good things will come!

Lou is a name to watch this offseason. He’s already made his mark as a JV football and basketball player, and QB Hit List already has a ranking for Lou.
Love his size and love some of his basketball highlights. Seems to be a highly-liked player within the Muskegon community. No football tape that I can find, though.
Wait-and-see player!
