West Michigan Stars Rise at West Side Quarterbacks Media Day

I had the golden opportunity to go check out WSQ Media Day, and was able to gather a ton of notes about a dozen or more QBs. West Michigan is extremely underrecruited, yet there are so many talented Qs. Below are some of the bigger names that came out and had great outings.

Bryce continues to evolve and build himself into a formidable QB in the state of Michigan. On Sunday alone, I saw huge progress in multiple areas. His thrown motion is extremely quick and concise. No wasted movement. His arm strength continues to trend in the right direction, and his accuracy was as good as I have seen from him. I loved his strong platform and the way he was able to turn and rip the ball on a rope. The Caledonia QB is moving in the right direction on all fronts. Great overall showing.

Odin is absolutely a sniper. He continues to evolve physically, and he absolutely passes the eye test. I saw everything I wanted to see from him on Sunday afternoon. His footwork is clean, his throwing motion is quick and he throws an extremely receiver-friendly ball. He gets it to turn over as well as anyone in the state right now. His arm is strong, and was on full display all day, but especially on the deep ball. Odin has put in the work and turned himself into an extremely hot commodity in the 2028 class.

The Northview QB was the class of the field on Sunday as far as I'm concerned. He has it all. Good size, consistency from his footwork and throwing motion, and the rare ability to put the ball on a dime to any part of the field. It didn't matter if it was a quick slant, a tough out, a deep post. It was thrown with great velocity and accuracy. Pair that with his noted speed and athleticism, and you see why teams at the next level are falling in love. Absolutely going to be one of the top QBs to watch for this fall.

You can't talk about Sunday's workout without mentioning Dracyn and his performance. He was one of the most consistent and polished quarterbacks on the property on Sunday afternoon. When it came to throwing the deep ball, Foster was early in a league of his own. Very catchable balls to every part of the field, but when it came to the posts and go balls, Foster was laying the ball in the breadbasket. You couldn't have walked down the field and handed it to the receiver any better than what he was doing from 30+ yards away. Absolutely huge day for his stock in my eyes.

Traverse City West's [player_tooltip player_id='1701493' first='Henry' last='Olson'] was one of the more interesting prospects on Sunday, but I thought he was outstanding. He has played just about every position the game of football has to offer, but his ability to push the ball downfield with velocity can't be overlooked. He was on the money on Sunday, consistently putting the ball where it needed to be and executing a variety of throws. I loved what I saw from his footwork, and his throwing motion was clean and consistent. I absolutely need to watch Olson closer going forward, as his ceiling is even higher than I initially thought. Great overall event for him on Sunday.

What a great day for the Lefty out of Godwin Heights. He absolutely has the potential to break through and grab some offers this spring. He throws a beautiful spiral, has great accuracy and a huge arm. It was live right from the beginning of the workout. I love his quick trigger and velocity with just the flick of his wrist. Extremely impressive day, and i am excited to dive into his film more and see more from him!

Lou has a ton of positive momentum behind him, and putting together performances like he did at WSQ Media Day is exactly why. I absolutely loved what I saw from him in terms of his technique and pure arm talent. I have been impressed with Gresset the last few times I got to see him work, but this was a polished as I have seen him. Extremely well rounded QB with a ton of upside, and a very high floor. You absolutely know what you're going to get from Gresset, and that is high level play and consistency.
