Ernesto is a Muskegon offensive lineman if I’ve ever seen one.
Shorter evaluation for Ernesto just because I already know his game pretty well. Ernesto excels in straight-up man-on-man gap blocking. Ernesto has his man, and he hits him and moves him with great leverage and power. So many highlights demonstrating extremely good run blocking- similar to a lot of Muskegon LBs I’ve watched over the years. Ernesto also has a couple second level blocks, 1:00 being a good example.
Generally, I’d like to see better demonstrations of agility and pass-blocking in the future. Camps will allow Erensto to demonstrate how well-rounded his game really is.

Ernesto is the next of many, many past elite Muskegon offensive linemen. Just like most Muskegon linemen, Ernesto excels with leverage-based run blocks. Man up on the line of scrimmage, Ernesto is winning his block way more often than not. Even against many of the better defensive linemen in Michigan, Ernesto is able to out-leverage and pancake most of them.
He needs to work on his pass blocking, no doubt, but has the skill to play in the MAC one day.

, Ernesto has a lot of the same elite traits as his brother. You want to talk about gap blocking, Ernesto blocks his gap and opens up running lanes like no other. His first step and initial contact is awesome. If he gets a good hit on you, it’s far more likely you end up in the dirt than making a tackle. Still, Ernesto needs to prove himself against speedier linemen and against stunts. He also needs to prove that he’s a reliable pass-blocker during the offseason. I’m confident that Ernesto will solidify his own legacy at Muskegon. But for him to earn the D1 offers I feel he’s capable of, he’ll need to work hard year-round.

Another great offensive lineman in Muskegon is emerging! It seems that this is just the norm. Ernesto fires off the ball quickly, throws his shoulder into the defender and drives until the whistle. His effort is pretty consistent, and has really become a bulldozer in the run game. Muskegon wasn’t an elite passing team by any means, but it looks like he has the makings to be consistent in that area as well. Overall I could see Ernesto becoming the next great offensive lineman from this powerhouse school.

Ernesto has all the tools to develop into a Division 1 offensive lineman. He’s not quite at the level that his brother

is at, but Ernesto luckily has plenty of time to fine-tune his game. At his best, Ernesto is a lethal run blocker who’s able to overpower anyone in his gap. He fits within the Muskegon scheme perfectly, and he’s able to make just about any block that’s going to be asked of him. He’s ultra-aggressive, hits like a truck, and explodes out of his stance. This offseason I’ll look to see improvements in his agility, pass blocking, and I’d like him to play a bit more under control with balance and holding blocks.
