It’s been a busy couple of weeks for Princeton High School Class of 2028 prospect Sean Torbert, who has earned offers from Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio State. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound defensive back is feisty in coverage, playing with great physicality and remains one of the Buckeye State’s best ballhawks. Top college teams have taken note of his talents, and more certainly will in the next two seasons.

Key’Sean Torbert Key’Sean Torbert 5'10" | 160 lbs | DB/QB Princeton | 2028 State OH is simply an outstanding defensive back. The 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect is a tough cover corner with elite ball skills. Torbert is quicker than fast, able to quickly come out of a backpedal and break on the ball. He also has the speed and explosiveness to be a threat to score after interceptions. He currently holds five offers, but I expect that to change as spring recruiting kicks off in earnest.

I wrote about Key’Sean just in July, but his play on the field makes him deserving of another write-up. In my Taft preview, he was more of a projection as he didn’t have a full season of varsity tape from his freshman season. Now on the varsity squad from week one, it’s evident that Key’Sean is an absolute playmaker. In three weeks, Torbert has picked the ball off three times and taken one to the house. He’s an alpha-level athlete and looks like a veteran. He has excellent instincts and can track the ball and move downfield to stick with his man. He just picked up his fifth FBS offer from Liberty, and I expect more to come during the season.

Torbert will play as a defensive back during his varsity season, but he played as a quarterback on the JV team in 2024. Key’Sean picked up four offers throughout the camping season and will be a breakout candidate for the Senators. He’s a great athlete. He has good ball skills and can get physical with effective hand placement in press. With a more determined role within the program, expect to be hearing about Key’Sean in the coming years.
