Shelton is a backer that plays with a lot of speed and is able to shoot the gap to bring the ball carrier down behind the line of scrimmage in a hurry. He is able to play free and does not hesitate after he makes a read, flying to the football to make a play. He shows good hands being able to get off of blocks in a hurry and getting to the QB when his number is called. He is a ball hawk that is always around the play, he has some D1 attention and is a player that would make an immediate impact.
