His quick first step allows him to engage offensive linemen instantly, using leverage to shed blocks and collapse the pocket. Burruss can play two gaps effectively, closing running lanes and forcing offenses to adjust. His ability to pressure quarterbacks creates opportunities for turnovers in the secondary, giving his defense a momentum boost. In a matchup against a strong Cherry Creek offense, Burruss will be tasked with setting the tone early. If he can disrupt their rhythm, it could tilt the balance in Regis Jesuit’s favor.

Sawyer is a game-changing trench warrior who can absolutely dominate when he is on the field. At defensive line, Sawyer has an explosive edge about him that gives him an advantage as soon as the ball is snapped. Sawyer has the speed to close the gap on the ball carrier and rack up tackles for loss in the process. From everything that I have seen, Sawyer has huge upside portential. Look for him to do big things as a member of the Regis Jesuit football program.
