Kade was absolutely lights out in week 1. His motor never stopped, and he was creating a ton of havoc for the Cass Tech offense. His mix of power and speed off the ball made him nearly impossible to block consistently. He was a force off the edge in both the run game and rushing the passer. We have said it time and time again on this site, Kade needs D1 offers!

. Kade is an explosive player who can set the edge and turn everything coming his way back inside. He is strong and can anchor himself down and not get budged by blockers. I saw his impressive performance in week 1, and it looks like it has just continued to progress as the season has gone on. I still think there is a D1 spot for Kade at the next level and will continue to pound the drum that he should get that shot.

Kade had himself another great game. This time, we got to see what he’s able to do against a run-heavy offense.
A general theme of his tape is that he did his job and he did it well. Specifically, Kade did a great job defending the option. At 0:28, Kade made an excellent read sticking onto the QB and preventing the pitch. At 0:49, he stays home and correctly reads the QB keeper and once again brings him down. Several other times, Kade makes good run stops, usually while lining up on-ball.
Offensively, Kade had a great TD catch out of the backfield. It was great play design, and an even better run after catch and power to secure the TD.
Kade is solidifying himself as one of the best defenders in West Michigan. I fully expect to see many, many more great performances this season.

It’s laughable that Kade was on the Watch List prior to this update. Over the last several months, I’ve been in front of Kade several times and I have a very good sense of his skillet and ceiling. As an edge rusher, he’s fundamentally polished. He’s quicker than most linemen and uses his hands well enough to get around all non-college prospect linemen. He can be a bit disorganized with his pass rush, though that’s where his true strength lies. Kade has higher upside when it comes to being a hybrid outside linebacker, but his skills lacks in that area. A lot of colleges pass him up based on his measurements, though I’m confident that more GLIAC schools will send out offers. He’s ranked quite high at #133 based on his recruiting and he’s 100% one of the guys I’m higher on than the consensus.
