Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Spratling is an athletic, versatile player with an impressive multi-sport background that consists of a state championship in discus and a PR of 174′ 00”. Spratling is a strong player at the point of attack with some pass-rush juice. He is a patient, effective pursuer of the football and does a great job of mirroring in space. Effortless play strength flashes all over tape. He can stun blockers and RBs with his punch, and he is capable of lifting ball carriers off the ground. He has room to continue developing physically. Well-rounded player with evidenced athleticism.

is one of my favorite underrated LB prospects in Georgia. I will let some of my analysis from last year do the talking here:

is a buzzy LB prospect in the 2026 class and is also a T/F state champion from this past season. He participates as a sprinter and a jumper, but it’s his state-leading 169′ 06” discus throw that draws my attention the most. His T/F numbers exhibit indications of power and explosiveness, which is evident on tape. He roams the field, but plays a lot of OLB, where he can strike and shock blockers with his punch. As a tackler, he can ragdoll ball carriers around and often lifts them off their feet. He showcases enough bend and closing speed to stick at OLB if he chooses, even for a stouter guy. To go along with his power and explosiveness, he makes plays at all levels of the field and looks like a solid player from the head up. At this stage, he is a shockingly underrated recruit and has a chance to generate some FBS buzz as a late-bloomer.”

An outstanding versatile defender from West Georgia with a nose for the football, Spratling is a proven pass-rusher who can get after the quarterback and jar the ball loose. He shows strong instincts in coverage as well and is a sure-tackler in the open field. Playing for one of the best programs in the state, Spratling showed that he has a knack for forcing turnovers and making plays in the backfield. His stock is on the rise after a strong junior season last fall and saw a new offer come his way recently from Kansas State. Look for this playmaking defender who lead the Trojans defense once again as a senior in 2025.
