He played a key role in CAL’s 3A State Championship run. Ruffin was an electric receiver on the offensive side of the ball where he was able to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He also showed the ability to use his speed and elusiveness after the catch to turn short passes into big gains. Ruffin finished the season with 86 receptions for 1,379 yards and 18 touchdowns in 15 games. Justin also made an impact on defense where he was a lockdown corner on the outside. He finished the season with 39 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two interceptions. Ruffin is committed to Army where I can see him being a key contributor at the next level.

He finished the game as his team’s leading receiver, catching eight passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Ruffin is a dangerous deep threat as he is able to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation. He is also electric after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes into big plays. Ruffin also led the team in tackles, finishing the game with six. Justin is committed to Army where I expect him to be a true impact player once he gets there.

Ruffin finished the regular season with 64 catches for 872 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has dangerous speed which he is able to use to his advantage to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing  game. Ruffin is also very impressive after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes and screens into big plays. He is also an impressive corner on the defensive side of the ball. Justin is committed to Army where I could see him playing on either side of the ball at the next level.

Through six games, Ruffin leads 3A in receiving, catching 43 passes for 634 yards and seven touchdowns. He is a very dangerous deep threat as he is able to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation. Ruffin is also electric after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains at any given moment. He also plays a key role on defense at corner. So far, Ruffin has 22 tackles, one tackle for loss, and one interception. Justin is committed to Army where I can see him making a big impact at the next level.

To wrap up my top offensive performers from Week 4, I have Justin Ruffin Jr Justin Ruffin Jr 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Christian Academy of Louisville | 2024 State KY . Despite their close loss to Lexington Christian Academy, Ruffin was still very impressive, finishing the game with eight receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Ruffin is a very dangerous deep threat, showing the ability to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation. He is also very impressive after the catch, showing the elusiveness to make defenders miss and the the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Ruffin also plays a key role on defense as a lockdown corner. Justin is committed to Army where I can see him developing into a very productive playmaker for them once he gets his opportunity.

If his season-opening performance is any indication of the impressive feats to follow, Ruffin has firmly positioned himself as the standard bearer among his position’s peer group for clutch playmaking and offensive production. Of course, he enters his senior campaign on the momentum of the Centurions’ undefeated, state title-winning season last year, and with the majority of that team’s offensive contributors returning, it stands to reason that he has poised himself to elevate his game, too.  In his team’s 28-14 win over Owensboro, he collected 12 receptions for 144 yards and 1 touchdown. After totaling 38 catches for 735 yards and 12 scores last fall, he verbally committed to West Point’s football program just this summer, but additional performances like his first this season might prompt Army’s coaching staff to fight off even more next-level suitors to keep Ruffin in the fold.

Justin is committed to Army where I can see him becoming a key player for them on either side of the ball.

He also has shown the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains. Ruffin is also a very dangerous returner on special teams, returning two punts and one kickoff for touchdowns this year. Justin currently holds offers from Louisville, South Florida, and James Madison, and I expect that list to grow going into his final season as he is a true Division I caliber talent.

He thrives out of the slot, using his speed to his advantage to create mismatches in man coverage. Ruffin is able to create separation and catch passes in stride, and then he runs away from the defense as there aren’t many defenders that are catching him in the open field. He has also shown the ability to make cuts in the open field after the catch to make defenders miss. Ruffin is often used as a ball carrier on jet sweeps, using his speed to get to the edge and run away from opposing defenses, and is a very skilled returner on special teams as well. Justin currently holds offers from Louisville, South Florida, and James Madison, and I expect that list to grow as he has the skill set to play for a Power 5 program.
