is another example of a 2028 prospect on this breakdown that has made a move this offseason to a 6A-1 program and will see a step up in competition on a weekly basis. Harris was a big part of Bishop McGuinness and their run to the 5A state title last season. Now, he looks to take that versatility and overall playmaking ability to Deer Creek this fall. Offensively, Harris will be used in a variety of ways because it’s pretty clear that he’s a spectacular playmaker. Defensively, he’ll also see time at cornerback and can end up making plays there and in special teams. We got a chance to watch Harris and the Antlers this spring and he really impressed us with that added dimension to the Deer Creek offense.

is the final Bishop McGuinness prospect on this breakdown but honestly, he might be the most interesting prospect moving forward. Harris is a dynamic athlete that quite literally helped the Irish in whatever way he could during his sophomore season. Because of that, he became one of the breakout stars in Class 5A and we are very excited to see more of him this offseason and beyond. Near the end of the regular season, the Irish lost their starting quarterback and turned to Harris to be QB1. In their semifinal win, Harris had a solid game at quarterback but also returned a kick for a score. That’s the dynamic playmaker that we’re talking about here. He also showcased a very strong arm in that championship game. We have no idea where Harris projects but he’s a fantastic football player.
