2029 running back Brayden Hubbard Brayden Hubbard Cushing | 2028 OK is a name to file away moving forward. At this time last year, we were writing about Hubbard as one of the state’s freshmen to watch as he entered high school. A season-ending injury early on in the year halted any potential for that breakout season in 2025. Now, Hubbard is back to 100% and has basically been living in the weight room and on the football field to prepare for his sophomore season. His combination of top-end speed and legit weight room strength is not something you see very often. Whether it’s this season or in the future, Hubbard has the tools to be a breakout player in the Deer Creek offense.

Deer Creek running back Brayden Hubbard Brayden Hubbard Cushing | 2028 OK is on the shortlist of players we’re fired up to see after they missed last season with an injury. Hubbard was one of the 2029 prospects that we were excited to see after watching him a handful of times in the spring prior. It looked like he was capable of getting on the field at the varsity level against 6A-1 competition but a season-ending injury prevented that from happening. But as of right now, it looks like Hubbard is not only 100 percent but he is more than ready to make up for lost time this season. He’s a running back that has plenty of speed to go along with a strong frame and could be an impact player for Deer Creek.

Rounding out the 2029 Top 25 is running back Brayden Hubbard Brayden Hubbard Cushing | 2028 OK from Deer Creek and he’s the second player that had his freshman season cut short with an injury. But before he was hurt, Hubbard was producing at a very high level. And when we look at his combination of size, speed and strength, it’s only a matter of time before he has a breakout moment under the Friday night lights. Hubbard has all the potential in the world to be the top running back in this class but we want to see him back on the field and healthy. Based on what we’ve seen from him in person, the limited film but also the numbers he’s put up in track and in the weight room, we’re confident that Hubbard is going to be a name to watch at the running back position. We’re hopeful to see him in person this spring.
