Spencer’s been a standout defender in the Cathedral Catholic secondary in the team’s 4-1 start. The 5’11″/170 perimeter CB has looked more developed athletically and skill-wise since his productive junior campaign with the Dons. He’s a quick-footed defender that can stay in-phase with WRs with his natural speed, agility, and ability to sink his hips and drive on the break. He’s a committed tackler in space, operates with efficient/coordinated footwork, and has shown ability to play both man and zone effectively. Spencer’s an under-the-radar CB that should start to see his recruiting interest pick up with the senior season he’s putting together.
