His ability to catch the ball and make defenders miss is special. He is also good at straight-line speed, with his ability to run by defenders for big pass plays. He is truly one of the quickest and toughest receivers to guard in space. If Solanco is going to find a way to win this game, they will need a huge game from their defense to slow down Quick.

Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA is a legit wide receiver. I am blown away by how talented a player he is. After the catch, he has a special ability to make defenders miss and gain big yards. His ability to play in space is special. This week was a big opportunity for Quick as he picked up an offer from Syracuse. I expect with a big Junior year, he should get even more attention in the fall.

I’ll jump into Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA and his evaluation by starting with the very first clip you see on his sophomore highlight tape. He’s out of the slot, runs a stop and go, not only is he already fast and shifty but the routes and precision with his feet and his hips are smooth, when he breaks down to deliver the first part of his route he then proceeds to spin faster than you can blink and blow past the corner and safety. This is a common occurrence all over his tape. Quick lives up to his last name, his releases and routes are the fastest and cleanest i’ve seen in this group but also maybe even in the country for his class. Quick tallied just under 1300 yards in his sophomore campaign (1297) but i’m sure he looks to only get better in the box score and on film in his junior year, in which I will be waiting for him to receive his first offer.

A Power Four receiver if I’ve ever seen one. I fully understand that Bishop McDevitt’s Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA will have to prove his speed to Power Four coaches before they feel comfortable pulling the trigger. I still think this young man’s tape alone warrants opportunities from the likes of G5s recruiting the mid-Penn area. Too special a talent to be un-offerred currently. This is more of a patience situation, Quick is going to get his in time. I’ll stay on the gas to ensure he sees love sooner rather than later.

Talking Quick’s performance at our event. I’d label Quick to be the best all-around pass-catcher that attended our event. What does that mean? Howard Holton Jr. Howard Holton Jr. 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2028 State PA ‘s performance certainly warranted overall camp MVP, yet after watching Quick with a close eye, I feel comfortable saying that he’s the most equipped wideout prospect at this event.

Fantastic lateral release at the LOS, can avoid stabs and jams at the LOS with foot quickness alone. Attacks leverage with a purpose, Quick is an unreal accelerator and separator. The best hands of any wideout present. Great body control, great balance cutting inside and out. Can cut while being under control. Can run routes with tempo, can stop and start to throw DBs off in terms of timing. A sudden and twitchy wideout who fits the ideal FBS slot mold, this as a current sophomore. Can separate with clean cuts and acceleration, not a one-trick pony. Everything Quick displayed was crisp and clean, a sharp and intimidating route-runner that left DBs guessing all night. Was second in line to Howard Holton Jr. Howard Holton Jr. 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2028 State PA for WR MVP. I’m a Quick believer, I’ll see if I can raise his rank even further after this performance.

The leading receiver in this football game. Six receptions for 130 yards. Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA cemented himself as one of the best offensive weapons the PA class of 2027 has to offer. Yes, Saunders might be on his way to play next-level ball at Kentucky, the future of the QB position might be a bit cloudy. What’s for sure, the future QB is going to have one hell of a wideout to throw to for two+ years.

Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA is another good athlete for Bishop McDevitt Stone Saunders Stone Saunders 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bishop McDevitt | 2025 State PA can throw the ball to. Quick has excellent speed and acceleration, and if he gets the ball thrown to him short, he can take it to the house anytime he touches the ball. Quick is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands and could make a big impact in this game.

Quick scored on a great play where he caught the ball in the flat and broke several tackles to make a run to the end zone. He has excellent hands and does a good job making defenders miss in space. He also has good speed and elusiveness to make defenders miss in space. McDevitt is chasing another District and State Title and Quick is a player who should help them make a run.

He has the skills to be a good slot receiver and a cornerback. On offense, he has good speed and does a good job in space making defenders miss. I can see Quick being used in different ways in the run game and the passing game. He could also see the field as a cornerback. Quick has all the tools to make a big impact for McDevitt this year.

Many outside of the know question who Stone Saunders Stone Saunders 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Bishop McDevitt | 2025 State PA is going to throw to now that Rico Scott is out of the building. Domo Diaz is going to take on that role, but let’s not forget about Jontai Quick Jontai Quick 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR/DB Bishop McDevitt | 2027 State PA . Quick, an incoming sophomore, was able to carve out a respectable slot role for himself alongside some of the bigger names Bishop McDevitt deployed in 2023.

You could find Quick manning inside slot alignments, attacking all areas of the field but making his mark after the catch. A YAC kid, get him the football in creative ways and watch him work. Quick was often deployed out of the backfield to catch swings, outs to the flat, wheels, among other routes. Sure hands, hands that have made the McDevitt coaching staff comfortable enough to bump his usage this coming Fall. Bubbe, tunnel, and pop screens to Quick are all easy play calls to gain positive yardage. I do wonder if Quick can double as a DB in 2024. I have no idea if this is even needed, not sure who is in the DB stable at McDevitt, they seemingly always churn out great DBs. I wonder if Quick can amply his versatile skillset on the defensive side of the football. His talents translate, especially his straight-line speed, might be useful along the boundaries. A move to two-way would do wonders for his stock, a stock I would buy into today. An FBS program should pull the trigger on this kid sooner rather than later.

Even though he was a Freshman last year Quick got on the field for McDevitt and made some plays. Quick is a legit athlete that runs well. He has good speed and elusiveness and when he gets into the open field he just runs past defenders. He has an exceptional ability to make defenders miss. Quick should be an even bigger contributor for McDevitt this season.
