is one of the more experienced guys on this offensive line for the Antlers. Wells has been a player that we’ve liked over the last 18 months. He is a very physical offensive lineman that always plays with a chip on his shoulder. So as the Antlers move up to 6A-1, Wells is going to be ready for a fight every single week and he’s not going to back down from the largest schools in the state. Wells and this Deer Creek offensive line will set the tone for how successful this offense can be.

was the mean streak that he plays with on Friday nights. That has stood out to us when watching him on film and it definitely translated during the drills on Saturday afternoon. Wells absolutely attacked every opponent he went up against in one on ones. And while there were certain limits in what we could do without the pads on, Wells was always looking to finish his blocks and punish his opponent. Wells is an interior lineman that has some promise moving forward. He’s going to be a player that immediately helps the program he goes to at the next leve.

has had a strong start to the season. Wells is your prototypical interior offensive lineman. He can get out of his stance and has some power behind him. After checking him out on film this week, our favorite aspect of his game is when he pulls and finishes a block. We’re interested to see what’s next for Wells this season. He’s had a lot of success against some good defenders. But he will be tested once again this week against a Choctaw defense that has a few standouts in their front seven.
