About Jaxon
Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Jaxon has filled out his frame nicely and he’s put on good size since the conclusion of the season. He shows great command of the offense and he showed off his arm talent on the night. He throws a great deep ball and has good accuracy. He’s a signal caller who made great strides from the showcase in 2025. I’m excited to see the additional progress he makes after this year’s showcase. He’s a D1 quarterback, and he’s been on the radar of several FCS and FBS teams. It’s not if, but when a team pulls the trigger and offers him.

Jaxon made tremendous strides in such a short time last season. I’ve seen him up close from an offseason morning practice in March of 2025, to a Spring Showcase at Bingham to summer practices and games, the growth he made was tremendous. He has great size, has a great command of the offense, is a leader on and off the field, and throws with good accuracy and throws a good deep ball. He’s a player who has all the tools, and his best trait is that he soaks up coaching like a sponge. I’m excited to see the continued progress he makes, and he is a D1 talent. He should garner FCS offers and should flirt with some G6 schools in recruiting.

Jaxon has been having a productive offseason. He’s got full command of the offense and that’s allowed him to manipulate defenses and really elevated his football IQ. He quickly processes and makes the correct decision. He shows good arm talent and throws a nice deep ball. He leads his receivers open and has good pocket presence. He’s a D1 caliber player who should garner FCS offers and another strong year with good tape, should flirt with some G5 schools.

Jaxon finishes the year as the 29th-ranked prospect and the QB3 in the class. Jaxon made the biggest rise during the season and helped himself the most to springboard for a huge 2026 season. He is a signal caller who processes quickly, has a quick release, and throws his receivers open. He does well dotting the field and can make the throws you want to see. With a full offseason of being the guy, he should take full advantage and get D1 offers.

Comparing Jaxon from offseason spring showcases to now is night and day.
He stands tall in the pocket, he’s a quick processor, and has a compact delivery.
Jaxon leads his receivers open and stresses the defense by taking deep shots and dotting the field.
He does a good job layering his throws, getting to his second read, and showcasing pocket navigation. Hunt is also calm under pressure. The moment isn’t too big for him.

Jaxon has made exceptional strides since the spring. He’s a much more confident player. He is riding that momentum and that confidence has allowed him to throw it in tight windows, and he trusts his eyes. Early on in the season, he needed to see the play already developed and the receiver already open before throwing it; now he’s showing good anticipation and throwing receivers open and operating within the system. He has made significant strides, and it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season unfolds.

Mountain Ridge had a brutal start to the season and Jaxon came out of that for the better. He has put together back to back solid games where he looks poised, stands tall in the pocket, has command of the offense and is delivery the ball to the correct receiver and the right read. He gets to his second read and will move the chains with his feet. The offense is in its infancy and Jaxon is putting everything together. His processing rate has picked up and does well keeping the ball out of danger. He throws a nice ball and has a good delivery. He should dominate region play.

Hunt needs to play mistake free and trust his reads. He’ll have two large targets and some speedy receivers to throw to. If he simplifies his game, it’ll go a long way in what Mountain Ridge wants to do.

Hunt is someone who has caught my eye this offseason. He’s looked good when I went to visit Mountain Ridge this offseason and during the offseason showcases. He is a tall, lanky signal caller who throws a good intermediate ball. His placement is good, and he moves well around the pocket. He should enter the season as QB1.

Hunt is a tall and leaner prospect for the position but throws well on the run and processes nicely. He made some nice throws during the QB session and made some nice deep throws during the 7v7 session, he’s a prospect that’s caught my eye a few times when I’ve seen him. He’s an interesting late bloomer to the 2027 class.
