Tulau is a two-way player. On defense, as an on-ball backer, he showcases a good first step and has good lateral quickness. Tulau is best as a speed rusher and diagnoses plays quickly. In coverage, he showcases good footwork and isn’t heavy-footed, and does well covering and being in space; he doesn’t give too much ground and back out of his zone spacing. On offense, as a running back, he showcases good vision, has patience, and uses his quick acceleration to get through the first level and has the physicality to finish off his runs.
