Xander has been a big play receiver. He does a good job of creating separation and being an easy target for his signal caller. He wins at all three levels and is a receiver who runs good routes and does an excellent job of high pointing the ball and being strong at the catch point.
Xander is an exciting athlete who made plays as a signal caller as a Junior. He was someone that threw a good ball and used his athleticism to make plays. The switch to a full time Wide Receiver has paid off. He has good footwork, does a good job of winning at all three levels and he creates good separation and displaying strong hands. He’s a receiver who can create with the ball in his hands and is a steady riser. He can line up at the boundary or move inside to the slot. He’s a receiver with good traits and his athleticism should get him looks in recruiting.
Xander has made the transition to wide receiver and he’s always been a good athlete. Last year as the Quarterback for Riverton, he showed good athleticism and playmaking abilities. The move to receiver has gone well and he’s leaned on his athleticism to make the most of his opportunities. He has good speed, does well getting vertical and he shows the ability to create separation and tracking the ball well. He’s come up big with the opportunities he’s had thus far.
Xander is a dual threat quarterback and his threat to take off, does enough to freeze linebackers and allows him better throwing windows. He’ll look to continue his progression against Herriman.
