Jefferson is one of the elite athletes in the entire state and has been dominating Northern California competition since his freshman season for the Spartans. He has been doing plenty of damage from the backfield this year, rushing for 930 yards and 11 touchdowns, while tacking on defensive duties as well as a top corner. He remains committed to North Carolina but his commitment will be one to watch as we near the first and second national signing day here next month. The Spartans will look to be the northern California representative once the state playoff’s begin and have a great shot at knocking off the top seeded team in Southern California for the open division title.

Jefferson has had quite a busy off-season and elite track season where he ran a 10.01 100m in the state finals, and solidified himself as the fastest athlete in the state. He is currently committed to North Carolina and an elite two-way guy for the Spartans that can impact the game in all three phases. In our recent rankings update, he checks into our rankings as a top five defensive back and inside the top 50 overall.

Jefferson is a dynamic athlete with elite track level speed, finished fourth in the state 100m with a 10.4. Speed and skillset translates well to both sides of the ball to give him great positional versatility and highly recruitable at WR or DB. High-level twitch and explosiveness in his movement, he transitions seamlessly and can close separation quickly to recover coming out of his break. Can mirror receivers step-for-step to stay in phase all across the field. Plus ball skills, he’s natural at the catch point with good timing and quick hands. A true home run threat every time he touches the ball that uses his lateral agility to cut around defenders or speed to break away in space. Just recently offered by North Carolina and quickly committed over seven other D1 programs.

Jefferson is one of the top defensive back prospects in the state and is in line for a monster off-season. Also one of the fastest prospects that the 2026 class has to offer, he is a no brainer high level corner and will be a big time get for any program. The track star already holds offers from SJSU, SDSU, Arizona, Washington State and UNLV and recently picked up a new offer from Sacramento State.

Jefferson had an excellent pass break up and was in the hip pocket of Mater Dei’s receivers the whole game. He is crazy fast and he is impressive on 50/50 balls for a guy his size.

Jefferson has had an elite track season thus far for the Spartans clocking in a 10.4 100m in the EBAL Championships last week. He is one of the fastest in the state and is in line for a monster 2024 campaign. This week alone he has picked up offers from Arizona and Wazzu, and the three-star prospect should have 15+ offers by the time his career is all said and done.

Jefferson is a speedy corner who ran a 10.7 in the 100 meters last spring.
As a corner he can cover anyone in man coverage and has the speed to fly up the field and stop outside runs.

Jefferson is one of the top ’26 prospects across the state, and currently holds offers from Arizona, Oregon State, UNLV and San Jose State. He has been putting up impressive numbers on both sides of the ball this season, and can play multiple positions at the next level but should find his home at corner. He seems very comfortable in man coverage, has elite twitch and hip fluidity in transition while able to quickly break on balls with natural instincts and elite breaking abilities once the ball is out. Jefferson is not afraid to come up in run support in space either, and is a sound tackler in the open field with outstanding ball skills and recovery speed if beat downfield. Jefferson is a no brainer high level power five caliber player and should see more national offers come his way this off-season.
