Knight has been patiently waiting his turn to start for the Spartans and has gotten his chance in his final season at the prep level. He looks to have full command of the offense through the first two weeks of the season, and does a very nice job both on the ground and through the air when asked to spin it downfield. He is a tough and high IQ runner that displays excellent vision, forward lean and can gain tough yards inside while operating the veer system flawlessly. Against one of the top teams in the state in the Serra Padres, he had another stellar showing going for multiple rushing touchdowns and showing he can deal the ball around into tight windows to keep boxes light and does a outstanding job managing the game.

Knight comes into our WL rankings, after getting significant playing time for one of the top teams in the state, and was a bit of an unknown heading into last Fall, but put up some good film in the games that he was able to see some action in. He is not afraid to stay in the pocket to deliver the ball downfield and take a hit, and plays the position with good toughness and a high IQ. He throws a good deep ball with tons of air underneath it while throwing his receivers open vertically and across the field. Knight also shows quick processing of zone coverages and is able to throw on the run when rolling outside the pocket and is a very on schedule thrower that really steps into his throws and uses his lower body/hips to push the ball quickly into tight windows. Look for Knight to take an even bigger leap into year three of his prep career for the Spartans, and should see an increase of opportunities come his way through out the Fall.
